On sunny April Saturday, about a dozen members of the club decided to repeat a trip from a year earlier to see the changes at the Danbury Railway Museum and the Garden State Model Railroad Club. The club members started the day by meeting at the Danbury Railway Museum at 10 am. We were again given a tour of the grounds but this time were also treated to a ride around the yard in one of the museum’s RDC cars. The tour guide also gave of us an overview of the new roundhouse plans for the museum as well as the restoration work which had been completed on the turntable. The club enjoyed the hospitality again and then headed down to New Jersey.

The club arrived in North Haledon, NJ, just after lunch time for the open house of the Garden State Model Railroad Club. The group had worked on many new projects since our visit a year earlier. We were given a tour of all the work on the Garden State Northern. With the club expertise in DCC, and our recent conversion of our HO layout to DCC, many questions were asked and answer by the electronically inclinded group. The club stayed until the end of the very busy open house before returning to Connecticut.
