Old Business

1) Springfield - There are also just 16 new cars (89’ w/trailers).

2) The operating display at Christ the King went off very well – 21 members were there at some time on Saturday. Our treasurer commented that having lunch provided is not necessary. [ For the future the Men’s Group should just offer to fun and we will pay. ]

3) Willimantic Show (3-28-10) – Set-up time to start 2 6:30 AM to reduce the scramble to be ready for a show time of 10 to 3. Sandy said that the ON30 layout would also be coming. In support of the show, help will be needed on Saturday 3-20-10 to unload the silver trailer at Larry’s. Dan is to email the layout plan.

4) The red trailer is now in use (in repair) w/ N-Scalers.

5) April 11th – Operating session at Bob Murphy’s, starting at 6PM. April 25 to be next business meeting.

New Business

1) Sandy and the MicroScale Model Buildings – Now planned for June 6 and 13 (2 sessions?). The (massive) instruction set was revealed, as well as the prototype(s). The buildings will have lots of accessories. Participants will need some tools and acrylic paints. A total of 27 kits (6 ‘O’ scale) will be available to build. A sign-up sheet is available. [Schedule modified times with the Library]

2) The N-Scalers provided an update of planned activities: Willimantic (ON30); April 16-17 in New Paulz, NY for the On30 Convention (great modeling sessions); May 20-21 at Kimberton – narrow gage; July 14 – Lionel Operating Train Society at Middletown in Amato’s basement; October 3 at Durham Fair Grounds (On30) [HO too!?]

3) Bill Evans asked for support in mailing out newsletters.

4) Next planned Wednesday nights – 3-17 at Jonathan’s; 3-24 at Tom’s for track layout work; 3-31 at George’s/Jonathan’s.

5) Future Wednesday (Thursday) – May 13th in Manchester at the Silk City Club layout 7 PM.

6) Dan spoke of a draft of a ‘Personal Conduct Policy’ for the Club, along with considering a review of the Club Bylaws (is it time for an update?).

7) It appears that personal logistics will preclude participating in a display at The Friendship School this year.

8) Sandy suggested that we consider seeking to operate at the July event at Amato’s.

Meeting Adjourned at 9:00 pm.

Respectably submitted by Bob Applegate, Secretary
