Prairie Peddler

Around 2003 when this module was built, the club was having a lot of discussions about the best approach to building lightweight benchwork for modules. Two members took on the challenge of building test modules around various materials and techniques to see who could build a lightweight, stable, and strong platform for our modular railroading activities. This module was Jim's attempt. The overall benchwork, including folding legs, came in at less than 20 pounds. The module was finished with this scene based on one of the vanishing wooden grain elevators found up in the plains of Canada.
