Official Club Organizational Chart and Duties

Below is a listing of the club officers and functionaries who manage the activities of the organization.  Club officers are elected by the club membership under the terms set forth in the club's bylaws.  Functionaries are appointed by the club President to manage specific club activities.  Contact information for each of the individuals below is available to club members through the monthly newsletter.

Club Officers

President - Stu Dom - 2011 to Present

Description: The President shall be responsible for scheduling activities to be performed at the meetings and conducting the business meeting. He will also be in contact with other clubs to coordinate joint efforts for meets, displays and other functions.  The President may appoint functionaries and committees to help manage the activities of the organization. 

Vice President - Tom Snyder - 2017 to Present

Description: The Vice President shall take charge in the absence of the President. Should it be necessary for the President to resign for any reason, the Vice President shall assume the office of President for the remainder of the term and a successor will be elected to the position of Vice President no later than the second meeting following the resignation. The Vice President shall be the "property officer" for the club and shall maintain a record of all club property.

Treasurer - Don Counsellor - 2004 to Present

Description: The Treasurer shall collect all dues and pay all just and lawful bills presented and voted on by a majority of the members present.

SecretaryMichele Watrous - 2015 to Present

Description: The Secretary shall keep minutes of all meetings, copies of all official club correspondence, and will also keep an up-to-date roster of all members, their mailing addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers.

Club Functionaries

Club Functionaries are appointed by the club's President to manage specific duties on behalf of the organization.  Functionary positions can be added or rescinded at any time.

Meeting Speakers Coordinator - Bill Evans - 2000 to Present

Description: The Meeting Speakers Coordinator is in charge of lining up presenters for clinic nights – typically held 6 to 7 times a year during the fourth Sunday of the month.

Field Trips Coordinator - Amanda Davis - 2016 to Present

Description: The Field Trips Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the summer railfan trip, including arranging hotels and organizing the travel logistics.  In addition, the Field Trips Coordinator may help plan day trips to local railroad and model railroad destinations throughout the year.

Communications DirectorJim Spavins - 2003 to Present

Description: The Communications Director is responsible for disseminating information to the club's membership and the general public.  This involves editing and distributing the monthly club e-newsletter as well as act as the official dispatcher of club announcements via the club's email list.  In addition, the Communications Director is responsible for maintaining a website on behalf of the club and operating the club's social media presence.  The website should include a description of the club, contact information, upcoming public events, and layout descriptions.

HO Module Coordinator - Jim Spavins - 2011 to Present

Description: The HO Module Coordinator is responsible for logistics of the HO scale modular layout.  This includes maintaining a current list of modules available for shows as well as preparing layout and operational plans for HO layout events. The HO Module Coordinator shall also keep and maintain the DCC Locomotive and Throttle Numbering Assignments.  In addition, the HO Module Coordinator shall recommend club projects related to the HO layout as well as inspect modules for compliance with the HO Module Standards.

O Gauge Coordinator - Kevin Davis - 2017 to Present

Description: The O Gauge Coordinator is responsible for logistics of the O gauge modular layout.  This includes maintaining a current list of modules available for shows as well as preparing layout and operational plans for O gauge layout events. In addition, the O Gauge Coordinator shall recommend club projects related to the O gauge layout as well as inspect modules for compliance with the O Gauge Module Standards.

BranchTRAK Coordinator - Michele Watrous - 2017 to Present

Description: The BranchTRAK Coordinator is responsible for logistics of the BranchTRAK HO scale modular layout.  This includes maintaining a current list of modules available for shows as well as preparing layout and operational plans for BranchTRAK layout events. In addition, the BranchTRAK Coordinator shall recommend club projects related to the BranchTRAK layout as well as inspect modules for compliance with the BranchTRAK Module Standards.
